This piece, likely painted by Lempicka in 1940, shares a visual dialogue with her later works, particularly the 1941 Pitcher on a Chair I, where the same pitcher featured here makes its appearance again, underscoring Lempicka’s fascination with everyday objects elevated to the level of art.
